All your questions about migrating to the new version, answered.
1. What's the timeline? Can I still use the older version? What about after I migrate?
The dates to remember:
On June 30, 2026, the older version will become read-only, meaning reviewing previous newsletters and analytics will be available, while creating, editing and sending won't be available anymore. Although there's no rush, we'd argue that the new editor's features will motivate you to migrate asap π.
Other changes that will happen earlier:
1st of January 2026: The in-app chat will no longer be available in the older version. You'll be able to email hello@publicate.it for support with an extended response time of 48 hours + for old version users.
1st of September 2025: the support for the older version will be reduced; the response time will be extended to 48 hours during the week.
Besides, migrating won't stop you from using the older version if/when you want (see here how), but we bet you won't want/need to shortly after you get on with the new version π π

3. Will my library show in the new version?
Your library won't migrate over; however, you can very easily save any content from a newsletter migrated so that it's added to the new 'Saved elements' section of your library. See here how. You can also save any elements that pertain to your brand to the new 'Brand Kit' library section π¨
4. Can I repeat the migration process if I forget some newsletters in the older version?
Yes, you can repeat the process from your workspace 'Settings' > 'Workspace' > ' Details' tab > Scroll down to ' Import Legacy Newsletters'
5. I use Gmail, Outlook or MailChimp, will I need to install new integrations?
Yes, you'll need to:
Install the new version integrations from the 'Export' button:
If you use Gmail or Outlook on the web, you'll need to turn OFF the older integration version as shown here.
6. What about my team workspaces and colleagues?
During the migration process, you'll choose the workspaces you want to migrate and the colleagues you want to invite. You don't need to invite your colleagues straight away, and any owner or admin can invite them later from here.
Inviting colleagues won't stop them from accessing the older version until the 30th of June 2026 (more on the timeline here). This means you can all take some time to get familiar with the new version before offering this option to your colleagues.
From there, you'll all enjoy the new real-time co-editing feature π, and the new Comments feature for teams.
7. What will happen to my plan/billing?
We'll automatically migrate your current plan and billing details to the new version during the migration. You'll see a preview of whether your plan and pricing will be different or not, and it will even be cheaper for some. It depends on your account usage and won't apply immediately.
If you migrate manually, you'll have a minimum of 2 months to decide whether the new pricing suits you, or more if you are on an annual plan, in which case the new pricing will only apply upon the next renewal. In any case, owners and users with billing permissions can always manage their plan here.
Pro tip: If you're an Individual user, you might be interested in upgrading to the new Individual Plus plan to get premium access to the Brand kit, advanced analytics and all top-tier features π
β οΈ What happens if you donβt take action by June 30th
To ensure continuity, if no action is taken by June 30th, your account will be automatically migrated based on the following parameters:
We will migrate your 50 most recent newsletters and templates
If youβre on a Team or Business plan, weβll migrate all your existing users
Weβll take care of the billing transition and move you to a new subscription plan that best aligns with your usage.

9. How do I migrate?
There are 2 options:
1) If you've never tried the new version
Once logged in to your older version account, hit the β Try New Editor β blue button in the top right corner. (If youβre part of a Team workspace, ask your Team Admin / Account owner. Theyβre the ones who can migrate the workspace and invite users to the new version.)
2) You've already logged in to the new version before, even by accident:
Log in to the new version again. You can do so from here, and if needed, reset your password from here. Then:
Either click ' Migrate ' in the top right corner (if you've closed that pop-up earlier, please hard refresh the page, and it should show again. If you're using Windows, to hard refresh, use the Ctrl + Shift r shortcut on your keyboard, OR if you use a Mac, use Cmd + shift + r).
OR ensure you're in the workspace you want your content migrated to (see workspace name in top left corner), then go to 'Settings' > 'Account' > scroll all the way down to ' Migrate Legacy Workspace'
10. Once I've migrated or tried the new editor, how do I access the older version again?
You can always access the older version via this page or any previously saved bookmark.
OR, from the new Publicate, open your account settings in the bottom left corner, and click 'Back to old editor' :
