Before you can send emails through Publicate Send, you need to set up and verify your sending domain. This process ensures higher email deliverability and builds trust with your recipients.
Follow these steps to add and authenticate your domain:
Step 1: Add Your Company Profile And Domain Name
From the 'Home' select 'Campaigns' > 'Complete Setup'
Complete your Company Profile > tick in the terms and conditions box > Click ' Confirm'
Enter the domain you want to send from (e.g.,
yourcompany.com).
Type in your domain (not a full email address). Example:
✅ Correct: yourcompany.com
❌ Incorrect: john@yourcompany.com
Then click 'Save'
This will generate DNS records you’ll need to set up with your domain provider.
Step 2: Add DNS Records to Your Domain
To authenticate your domain, you’ll need to either provide your IT department with the below DNS settings information, or add it to your domain name or DNS provider (like CloudFlare, GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains, etc.).
Record Type: TXT
Record name: Listed under "Name" on the page
Value / Content: Listed under "Value / Content" on the page
⚠️ Important: For details on how to create a DNS record with your particular provider you should consult their documentation or contact your IT team.
Note: DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to fully propagate.
Step 3: Verify Your Domain
After adding the DNS record, return to your Publicate home page and the 'Campaigns' tab
Click “Check Verification”.
If everything is set up correctly and the DNS records have updated, your domain will be verified.
If it fails, double-check for:
Typos in the DNS entries
Whether the record type matches (TXT)
Whether your DNS provider saved the changes correctly
If that all looks ok your should retry after a few minutes. Some providers take a few hours to update their records, so you might have to be patient...
Once verified, you'll see this confirmation:
Step 4: Congrats, you can now create and send your first email campaign 🎉
Once your domain is verified:
You can start using email addresses from that domain (e.g.,
hello@yourcompany.com) to send campaigns.You'll benefit from higher deliverability and fewer spam flags.
